RV Pickup Day!

On November 30th, Dude and Dalia flew to pick up their new RV. Now that they had decided to take their 7 nieces and nephews to Alaska, they needed to find a rig to seat everyone. They had to get all of the parents to agree to this trip as well! Once okayed, they had to make sure that the rig could carry 2 adults, 7 kids of various ages, 2 dogs, and everyone’s gear. How Did it Happen?

How did Dude's Family Adventures come to be? Where did we get the idea? One day I thought, “This is my last year really with the kids.” Even if I stayed on at some capacity they would not need me anymore. In the past, I have taken some of them on camping adventures on a family road trip to California, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Arkansas; not to mention the numerous ones inside Texas. So I thought, man, I’ve got to take all of them on a bigger adventure for the last one!

Big Bend National Park Hikes

Entering Big Bend was striking with it’s stark beauty. Upon visiting the rangers station at Panther Junction, we saw the Chisos mountains and knew we must head up there! No hiking the first day; just taking in our new surroundings. To some degree, there are little hints of other national parks here and there as if there were a bunch of too beautiful and unique parts of other parks that were to be tossed away. So they threw them all into Beg Bend. Funny how this place has all these unique land masses looking at home next to each other. It is really amazing.
